Nigeria's women's national volleyball team, competing under the name D'Tigress of Volleyball, has qualified for the 2026 FIVB Women's World Championship by winning the African Volleyball Championship in Tunis — ending an eight-year absence from the world stage.
The team defeated Egypt 3-1 in the final, having previously beaten Cameroon, Kenya and the hosts Tunisia in the knockout rounds. Opposite hitter Chinaza Ndee was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player after scoring 142 points across five matches.
